The property has been painstakingly restored with many of the original features retained, including beams and a fireplace. The spacious kitchen is situated in the basement and is very well equipped. With an elegant dining area, the welcoming sitting room has a feature fireplace with a cosy living flame fire. The bathroom is a delight with an original cast iron fireplace and a separate shower. Both bedrooms are tastefully decorated and offer a peaceful haven at the end of a busy day. The cottage is just a few minutes' walk from the town's amenities and the sandy beaches, making this property an ideal location for a holiday.

Gas central heating with combi boiler and gas fire. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, 2 x TVs with basic Sky, DVD, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Public car park 300 yards at £6 per day. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops and pubs 1 min walk. Note: Characteristic winding staircases lead to all floors. |

Located on the mouth of the River Esk Whitby is a small, but well known, coastal town in Yorkshire, England. It is not far from Glaisdale, Lealholm, Hinderwell, Runswick Bay, and Staithes and is one of over two hundred towns and villages in Yorkshire in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The closest cities are York (population 137,505), Ripon (population 16,468), and Leeds (which has a population of 443,247 according to the 2001 Census).
Set within the Borough of Scarborough, Whitby has an economy which is greatly boosted by tourism, but fishing continues to play a large part. It has a number of interesting landmarks including the ruins of Whitby Abbey, the Old Town Hall and also a status of Captain Cook in the Royal Crescent, and it forms a great location to stay at if you wish to visit this part of Yorkshire.
